A gallery of fine Applalachian crafts. Founded in 1972, David Appalachian Crafts is a non-profit cooperative organization with over 100 member artisans. David is a historic coal-mining town in the Kentucky Highlands. It was once the winter camping grounds of Daniel Boone and now is home to 50 families and David Appalachian Crafts. Though predominantly known for the fine patchwork quilts and pillow covers, David Appalachian Crafts also offers baskets, pottery, wood whittlings, dolls, wooden toys, painted gourds and fabric Christmas ornaments.
