To be alive is to be creative. With a head full of ideas Helene Michaels has a need to create in physical form. Except for the Planter, all pieces are one of a kind. Though they may be replicated, they can not be duplicated. Helene loves to work with her patrons to create the perfect piece for them and their home. The pieces are made primarily from antique handblown glass. Handblown glass is expensive but its irregularities in color and pattern make it very beautiful. The pieces are assembled using the copperfoil method which was invented by Tiffany. It involves wrapping the edge of each piece of glass with a thin copper tape and then soldering over all of the tape on both sides of the panel. An antique copper sulfate patina is applied at the end to darken the solder and give it a finished look. All prices include delivery.
